Way forward RDC Motor Performance

The Research Data Centre (RDC) Motor Performance will be the world's first sports science data centre and will focus on the collection, storage, and exchange of data on motor performance.

The centre is currently in the process of being set up and uses the existing
infrastructure of the MO|RE data repository as a base. The RDC Motor Performance will enable researchers to share their motor test data and simultaneously receive access to verified data sets from other researchers.

The aim is to create a platform for the exchange of data on motor performance, which may also be of importance for other disciplines such as psychology or education and health sciences. The RDC Motor Performance will offer various access options, including open access, remote access, and guest researcher workstations in order to meet different needs. The FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) will be implemented to ensure the findability, reusability, and quality of the data.

Another priority of the RDC Motor Performance is to support the data expertise of researchers, especially young scientists. The center provides support materials for this purpose. Overall, RDC Motor Performance will play an important role in interdisciplinary research and connecting motor data with other socially relevant data.
