Data Offer

The IOER RDC offers high-resolution object- and spatial-related data, methods, indicators, models, tools and scenarios on the following main topics:

Monitor of Settlement and Open Space Development (IOER Monitor) (ongoing)

The Monitor of Settlement and Open Space Development (IOER Monitor) provides data on land use structure and its development, as well as on landscape quality for the Federal Republic of Germany. Indicators on the land use structure are calculated at different spatial scales and time series using basic geodata, subject-specific data and official statistics. They are made available through maps, tables, diagrams and OGC services. Thematic focal points include land use for settlement and transportation, building stock, energy, protected areas, and landscape quality.

Build Environment (ongoing)

The IOER Information System Built Environment offers data and information on buildings, infrastructures and anthropogenically transformed open spaces with a focus on their resources and risks that arise primarily from natural hazards. In particular, the materiality and the effects of natural hazards and climate change are considered to contribute to a circular and resilient development of the building stock.

Germany’s Ecosystems (ongoing)

The Information System on Germany’s Ecosystem compiles information on landscapes, ecosystems, ecosystem services and their changes over space and time. Nationwide spatial data, indicators, methods and maps are available. With this, among other things, research questions on human-environment interactions can be addressed.

Services

The IOER RDC offers consulting options and technical support for the provided products. In addition, the contents and functionalities of the IOER RDC are presented and communicated at meetings, conferences, trainings and workshops.

Data Access Mode

The cost-free data are provided according to FAIR principles and are accessible via WebGIS, geoservices and the repository of the IOER RDC. A user contract is required to download the data.
