New handout: Quality assurance and accreditation of research data centres (RDCs)

The German Data Forum (Rat für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsdaten, RatSWD) has published an updated handout that provides comprehensive support for institutions applying for accreditation as a research data centre (RDC). It also describes the annual monitoring of accredited RDCs, which serves the purpose of quality assurance.

The revised handbook simplifies access to essential information and increases transparency in the accreditation process. The clearly defined criteria and procedures promote standardised quality assurance and strengthen trust in the research data infrastructure. The attached accreditation questionnaire can be used directly to submit an application for accreditation. The introduction of new participation formats in the FDI Committee is also a response to current developments and needs in the scientific community.
