Tax and Wealth Data
RatSWD working group in the 6th appointment period (2017–2020)
The data required to answer important questions on the distribution of income and wealth are only partially available to researchers in Germany. In some cases, the data foundation is non-existent. The German Data Forum’s working group on this issue will examine the current situation based on existing assessment and expert reports. The working group will invite experts to discuss their observations and research results. These activities will result in policy recommendations on how to facilitate institutionalised access to important tax and wealth data for researchers.

- Timeframe: Start: mid-2018, completion by summer 2019, publication by autumn 2019
