Task Force Policy and Law

As an advisory board to the Federal Government, the German Data Forum (RatSWD) is tasked with commenting on and issuing opinions on draft legislation in the area of research and data policy. As a rapid and well-founded response is required to monitor these national and European legislative processes, the RatSWD has set up a Task Force Policy and Law as a contact group consisting of members and guests of the RatSWD. This task force analyses relevant draft legislation for the RatSWD and, together with the RatSWD office, draws up statements addressed to policymakers. In addition, the Task Force Policy and Law proactively draws up recommendations on topics relevant to data and science policy in order to draw the attention of policy-makers to important issues.
